Press Release: Tax Advice Network marks Tax Advice Week with charitable donation pledge

7 07 2008

The UK’s first independent tax specialist network, the Tax Advice Network is marking the start of Tax Advice Week with a charitable incentive for all new registrations to the tax advice website between Monday 9th to Friday 12th June 2008.

The Tax Advice Network, which is primarily aimed at accountancy professionals who need specialist tax advice for their clients, actively supports TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People and has already donated £450 to the charities in the last six months. They have pledged to donate 50p to TaxAid for every new person* who registers with the site during Tax Advice Week 2008.

The Tax Advice Network was launched in 2007 and provides accountants and other regulated advisers with the ability to choose who provides them and their clients with specialist tax support. Developed by former ICAEW Tax Faculty Chairman Mark Lee, the site is rapidly establishing its position as the premier resource for reliable and cost effective tax advice.

The website also works as a resource for non-accountants and members of the public, through its pre-pay Tax Advice Helpline, online tax advice articles and through its directory of members who can be approached directly for tax advice.

“The Tax Advice Network aims to provide a support network for accountancy professionals who are seeking reliable and trusted tax advice and we are delighted to be supporting TaxAid during Tax Advice Week by donating 50p for every new member who signs up this week” says Mark Lee, founder of Tax Advice Network.

Tax Advice Week runs from Monday 9th to Friday 12th June and aims to raise awareness about the need for tax advice, even for those on low incomes, and to further understanding of tax.

About the Tax Advice Network

The Tax Advice Network contains a free to use (currently) online search facility that helps you find the specialist tax adviser that you need. Much more than a simple directory it is a 21st century approach to business services and a trailblazer in the accountancy and tax world.

The UK’s first independent network of tax advisers was the brainchild of Mark Lee, a former Chairman of the ICAEW Tax Faculty. He has ambitious plans for the network drawing on his many years of experience in the profession and his involvement in both offline and online membership communities.

The Network provides accountants and other regulated advisers with the ability to choose who provides them and their clients with specialist tax support.

Our tax specialist members expect to enhance their businesses through the benefits they gain within the network. These include the additional exposure they get to their target audience and from being part of a supportive community of tax advisers.

Membership of the Network is limited to tax specialists who are able to satisfy our membership criteria and are willing to make a commitment to the Network and the members thereof.
